THE COUNSEL OF THE UNGODLY

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. Ps 1:1; (Ps 26:4; Pr 4:14-15; Jer 15:17)

 In this world, there are two major groups of people, the godly and the ungodly; the godly are those who have been set aside by God for His worship and service. These are those whose lives are influenced by the Holy Spirit. They are those who are led by the Spirit of God. Ro 8:14

The ungodly are the opposite of the Godly. Their lives are ruled by their senses (see, smell, taste. Feel and hear) and Satan. Eph 2:2. They are not led by the spirit of God. Counsel based on sense may be deceptive. Since Satan has influence upon their lives, he can influence them to give you an ungodly counsel for your destruction. Remember Satan is you adversary and is out to steel destroy and kill you. John 10:10

Therefore you have to be on the cautious when an ungodly person is out to counsel or advice you

They can be your friends, parents, children, family members people you meet on the way, on the air, literature etcetera

 They may or may not have any evil intentions to give you bad advice. But since Satan and demons can easily influence them for your destruction, you have to be very careful.

THE WIFE OF JOB

Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die. Job 2:29

ZERESH, THE WIFE OF HAMAN

Then said Zeresh his wife and all his friends unto him, Let a gallows be made of fifty cubits high, and to morrow speak thou unto the king that Mordecai may be hanged thereon: then go thou in merrily with the king unto the banquet. And the thing pleased Haman; and he caused the gallows to be made. Es 5:14

THE FRIENDS OF JOB

Another group that you have to be careful about their advice is immature Christians. Though they are born again, they have not matured to be able to the source of what is influencing them, satan, senses, or God

EFFECT OF THE COUNSEL OF THE WICKED

1.      Cause you to sin  1Jo 3:4; Ro 4:15

2.      To separate you from your God (spiritual death) Rom 6:23

3.      to make you forfeit the plan of God for your life

4.      to make you vulnerably to satan and demons 1Sa 16:14

5.      to destroy you Joh 10:10

6.      to disgrace you Es 7:6-8

7.      to make you worry

8.      sickness

               

REMEMBRANCE OF THE LORD

(Ps 106:4 Remember me, O LORD, with the favour that thou bearest unto thy people: O visit me with thy salvation ;)

The Hebrew meaning for the word remember is (zakar) and the Greek is “mnaomai” both have the same meaning

“zakar” or “mnaomai” means

1.     To recall

2.     To keep in rememberance

3.     To be thoughtful of

A.    TO RECALL

God is an all-knowing God and does not forget. He knows everything at every time. He knows the end from the beginning

TO KEEP ME IN REMEMBRANCE OR BE TOUGHTFUL OF ME

It means do something for me, visit me and do something for me

B.    GOD’S REMEMBERANCE

God does not just remember or visit people for remembrance or visiting sake but he does so for a cause. It is either for judgment or blessing

1.     FOR JUDGMENT

·        Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with the LORD; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out. (Ps 109:14)

·        Tower of Babel Gen 11:5-9

·        King Agrippa was eating of worms Ac 12: 22-23

LIVING YOUR LIFE TO PLEASE HIM GEN 6:9                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           

KNOWING CHRIST

KNOWING CHRIST, I THINK SHOULD BE ANY CHRISTIAN'S TOP MOST PRIORITY AS WAS THE CASE OF PAUL IN PHILIPPIANS 3:10. TO KNOW HIM INVOLVES HAVING A FAIR KNOWLEDGE ABOUT HIM; THUS HIS NATURE, CHARACTER, WORK AND THE SALVATION HE HAS BROUGHT TO MANKIND AND THIS KNOWLEDGE ABOUT HIM MAKING YOU TO BOW AND WORSHIPING HIM, THUS RECOGNIZING WHO HE IS AND WORSHIPING AND SERVING HIM. IF ONE CAN RECITE THE BIBLE FROM GENESIS TO REVELATION WITHOUT RECOGNIZING THE LORDSHIP CHRIST OVER HIS/ HER LIFE, HE CANNOT SAY HE KNOWS HIM. HMMMM!!!! IF THIS IS THE CASE THEN IN MEANS THAT TO KNOW CHRIST DOESN'T MEAN BEING:
A CHURCH GOER, A MINISTRY LEADER, CHORISTER, A PASTOR, A PROPHET OR WHAT HAVE YOU. IF YOU KNOW HIM, HE LIVES IN YOU AND YOU IN HIM AND YOU HAVE A CHANGED LIFE; (2COR 5:17)A LIFE THAT REFLECTS CHRIST. DO YOU KNOW HIM? IS HE INDEED YOUR LORD? THINK ABOUT THESE THINGS TILL WE MEET AGAIN. IT BYE FOR NOW

IMPACTING LIVES POSITIVELY

It is nice to live long on this earth but the living on this earth will have nothing to do with you if your life does not leave a positive indelible mark in any body's life. Methuselah lived nine hundred and sixty nine years. that's OK for him. All that is often remembered about Methuselah is how long he lived. That is all about his biography. Lives that impact lives are worth living.This man as you know did not impact any body's live. In other words he did not create himself in others

Dear, how old are you? How have your life impacted others? You don't need to grow to the age of Methuselah before you start impacting others. Remember, you are not good and successful until you positively impact lives.

Jesus Christ lived barely  thirty three years but is remembered for the impact he has on mankind. Dear, come along let's reason together. Wont it be in the right direction you take a decision now? Look around. You can get somebody to help in one way or the other and that is the beginning of it. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a step.

Lest I forget, you should get a role model to be able to do it better. Do you know of any? Let me recommend Jesus Christ to you. Accept as your Saviour if you have not done that. if you have then praise God. You can impact lives the way Jesus did. preach the good News.
